My name is Bill Walczak and I’m running to be the next Mayor of Boston. I’ve spent the last four decades making Boston neighborhoods stronger, and I know, with the right leadership, we can continue to strengthen our entire city.
I’ve worked with the last three Mayors – getting my start as a young man creating what became an internationally recognized health center in Codman Square back in the days of Mayor Kevin White. Our city has thrived under Mayor Menino, and I know we can continue to move the city forward in the years to come.
My experience cuts across civic, business, and nonprofit sectors. I married a Boston Public School teacher, and both my children went through the Boston Public Schools. I am committed to ensuring an excellent education for all of Boston’s young people, and co-founded the award-winning Codman Academy Charter Public School. I believe in bringing economic vitality to Boston’s neighborhoods, and I have created hundreds of jobs in the city.
Over the course my campaign I want to hear your ideas for improving our city, as much as I share my ideas for the city with you. I look forward to beginning a discussion about what we should expect and build toward for the next generation. In recent days we have come together like never before. This is the greatest city in the world. With your help, I know we can make it even better.
